At EDS Homecare, we understand that the end-of-life period is extremely precious, and the care provided must be done so with the upmost dignity, respect and quality.

We proudly offer palliative care to those individuals whose wishes are to remain in their own space during what is often such a difficult time.

End-of-life care, by design, ensures that the client is comfortable, clean and at ease, while also providing the care relief needed for loved ones.

The feedback we receive often includes how loved ones are grateful that they could be there for the client as their loved one, rather than their carer.

Our palliative care service works on the same principles of all our care delivery; the client is always at the centre of everything we do, as well as to support family and loved ones to manage their care needs.

Our approach to palliative care is also multidisciplinary; we work extremely closely with professionals including (but not limited to) Ashgate and Blyth House, community nurses, the Dementia Rapid Response team and many more, in order to maximise positive outcomes and quality of life for our palliative clients.

We are also a Qualified Provider (AQP) with the NHS-led Continuing Healthcare Service (CHC), meaning we have vast experience with supporting palliative clients wishing to remain at home.

All of our services can be tailored to support with palliative care (short visits, companionship, overnight and live-in care), through our person-centred Quality Pathway assessment, an alteration to a standard care plan designed to focus on an individual’s preferences and wishes.

We will always ensure that the individual is treated with respect, dignity, and is safely cared for when providing palliative care.
