This service means a carer lives in your home with you or your loved one. The carer is on hand to help with daily needs, including but not limited to:
As well as the functional, day-to-day benefits above, Live-In Care offers exceptional social benefits too.
The carer is your companion and can support you to access the community, try out new activities with you, or attend any groups, appointments or other social activities with you.
It’s a service that will always provide you with one-to-one care and socialisation, home-cooked meals, shopping, cleaning, gardening, pet care and much more, all in the comfort of your own home.
Only experienced in-house staff are chosen to deliver Live-In Care and in 25 years of operation we have never used agency staff, ensuring our standards of care are maintained throughout all of our carers and care packages. All live-in carers must have completed a minimum of 3 months of ‘short calls’ on general community care duties with EDS (in addition to their prior experience).
They will also have completed, with excellent feedback, our robust programme of training, competencies and spot-checks designed by our dedicated Compliance Team.
Prior to beginning a care package, we will always discuss which staff are currently available and find a match which is suitable for you
If you are a homeowner, live-in care protects your home from any social care funding assessments, whereas moving into a care facility means your home is included in financial assessments and can result in your property having to be sold to cover these costs.
In addition to permanent arrangements, we also offer live-in care for short respite weeks and/or main carer holiday cover, meaning your experience can always be tailored directly to your needs.
Our live-in care packages are charged at a fully inclusive weekly rate of £1,950. You will not be charged for care plans, assessments, reviews, or any administrative support.
