Dilys’ journey with EDS Care began over 20 years ago, back where it all started for us at Eyam Dale House Care Home. Under the care of the original owners Lucy and Tim, it was Dilys’ mum who was a resident of the care home.
Dilys looks back on this experience with high praise and remembers her mum’s 80th birthday party being held at Eyam Dale House. When Dilys’ mums needs became more clinical, she was moved into a nursing home, but Dilys has always maintained how well looked after her mum was by Eyam Dale House.
It was then by chance that a conversation between Dilys and her daughter about having some more help, led Dilys in a full-circle moment back to EDS Care.
A Google search by her daughter revealed that EDS was now offering a range of homecare services. Dilys is a fiercely independent woman and manages her day-to-day living incredibly well but needs support with her weekly shop as carrying her shopping back to her home was proving to become more of a struggle.
EDS have provided Dilys’ weekly shopping visit for a couple of years now, which has proven to be very successful and very helpful for Dilys.
Dilys is very happy with having a regular carer to complete these visits for her, who she has grown a close bond with, and this gives her peace of mind that her shopping will al run smoothly. Dilys stated: "EDS's carers just know how I like things and where everything goes without me having to say anything and puts the shopping away. This helps me a lot due to my arthritis.’
Overall, Dilys is very happy with EDS Homecare’s continued support of her shopping needs and would not want anyone else.
