Christmas Jumper Day

Christmas Jumper Day

We had a very successful charity Christmas Jumper Day at EDS Homecare, helping to raise funds for Save the Children.

We took part in Christmas Jumper Day to raise money for the Save the Children charity. Thanks to the amazing donations received from our carers, management and directors, we smashed our donation goal and raised £291, which will go a long way in helping vulnerable children across the world receive the resources and basic amenities they require.

A huge thank you to everyone here at EDS Homecare and our wonderful clients who took part, wore their Christmas jumpers, donated, or came to the office for our selection of nibbles. We are truly delighted that we can donate to an amazing cause.

Here is a selection of photos from the day – even Buddy, Martyna’s dog, got involved.

Once again a huge thank you, and we hope everything raised for Save the Children this year means spreads a little Christmas magic to those less fortunate than us.

Happy 100th Freda

Happy 100th Freda

We would like to wish a very happy birthday to one of our wonderful, longest-standing clients, Freda, who recently turned 100.

This is absolutely no small feat, and with a lifetime of love and memories, all of us at EDS Homecare wished Freda the happiest of birthdays for number 100!

We wanted to celebrate her love of roses, so here is a photo of Freda posing with her bunch from us (main photo).

She also received a card from the their majesties the King and Queen (pictured below) and we were honoured to be a part of her journey and wish Freda nothing but happiness and comfort ahead.

Introducing Live-In Care

Introducing Live-In Care

EDS Homecare’s Live-In Care has expanded into a wonderful and popular service for a multitude of reasons. It is an extremely flexible service, from permanent care, to providing end-of-life comfort, and is even perfect for short-term main carer respite.

While it is continuing to evolve and is proving to be a successful service for many of our service users, let’s take a look back to see how it all began for EDS Homecare – with a long-standing client, Chris, who wanted to go back to his own home after a long respite stay.

Reviews & Experiences

Reviews & Experiences

We have recently launched a new Case Studies page, which can be found as a drop-down item (Case Studies) from the main Reviews & Experiences navigation button.

At EDS Homecare, we pride ourselves on providing the highest levels of care, which we achieve through regular staff training, recruiting the best people and always listening to our clients needs.

Whilst we can say we offer a great service, our new case studies section include comments from our clients, in their own words, which reinforces the quality of our offer.

Latest client comment

Latest client comment

We work hard to continue to deliver the highest levels of customer care and to maintain our CQC ratings, but the ultimate test of our services is the comments we receive from those we care for and their families.

Here is a recent testimonial we’re delighted to share.

It’s so difficult for us to admit when you can no longer provide all the care requirements for our loved one, but rather than reacting to a crisis, which will inevitably arise, I would personally like to recommend EDS Homecare services.

They have come into our lives and taken on all the care responsibilities with kindness and professionalism.

Never rushed, the care staff offer individual care, personally tailored to your loved one’s requirements.

They never leave until they are satisfied that they have completed the care plan and are always asking if there is any more they can do before leaving.

Any difficulties, which the care staff find, are reported immediately and can be resolved with a phone call to medical professionals or to family members.

The whole team are polite, professional and caring, nothing is too much trouble.

The charges for their services are very competitive, but the peace of mind is incalculable.

I can’t recommend them highly enough.
